Camera Ready Version

Authors of accepted papers must submit their camera ready version and register by Friday 25 May 2012 in order to include their papers in the conference programme and proceedings.

Authors should use the following author kit to prepare their final version. Please make sure the papers are within page limit, i.e. six pages for regular papers, eight pages for review papers, and two pages for challenge abstracts.

Author Kit

Please refer to the following files for detailed formatting instructions. Authors are strongly recommend to using the LaTeX author kit for their submissions. A MS Word template is also provided. Submissions prepared with other text formatting tools should conform closely to the required format. All submissions should be in PDF only.

Paper Length

Technical papers must be six pages in length, including all figures and the bibliography. Papers which are clearly overlength will not be reviewed. This includes papers where the margins and formatting are deemed to have been significantly altered from those laid down by this style guide.

Review papers are also welcome. The main body of review papers may not exceed the six page limit, but the total length may be up to eight pages including references.

Challenge abstracts should be up to two pages in length.

Paper Policy

Double blind review: MIUA operates a double-blind review process. Your review submission must not identify you as the author. This means, in particular, that the author list should be replaced by the words “MIUA YYYY Submission # NNN”. The provided LaTeX command \miuareviewcopy does this automatically. In addition, acknowledgements should not be included in the review copy. Please read Section 1.4 of the example paper miua_review.pdf Δ for detailed instructions on how to preserve anonymity.

Dual/Double submission: MIUA does allow for dual submission of manuscript contents, typically with conferences such as IPMI, MICCAI and ISBI. The authors should indicate in their summary statements where else the work has been submitted for publication and to what extent the MIUA paper overlaps the dual submission.
